Basically i am a Tamilian, currently living in Pune for my job.I am surviving in Pune for the past 4 months with very few difficulties.
Many of you might know that there are so many languages spoken in India,I am from Tamilnadu where we speak Tamil as our regional language.I don’t know our national language(not by law)-Hindi,without knowing Hindi surviving in Pune is bit hard.I am managing it somehow till date.
At some situations i really feel bad for not knowing Hindi.I started thinking of myself, why i didn’t know Hindi?Everytime if something goes wrong in us,the first person whom we will blame is our PARENTS.I can’t blame them here,as they have taken initiatives to make me learn Hindi.I was not interested on it.I can read the script, but can’t speak or understand much.Do i have to blame myself??Nah...nah...i can’t blame myself here.I know Hindi a bit,but the people around me are also Tamilians and there is no necessity to talk in Hindi at all.How about watching movies in hindi?Very few movies in Hindi gets released in my place.I have seen hindi movies, can’t understand it much. When i don’t know some words there should be someone to tell me.
Can I blame the politicians who are ruling our state.YES....What do you say?????Students who are studying in their regional language at their high school, they will start learning English when they come to college. For that also our politicians have put a full stop to make our fellows remain in the same state,by starting engineering colleges in Tamil medium. If they know only Tamil language how can they communicate fluently with others? When they are in some big international conference, even if they have some new ideas, they won’t come up with that because of the language problem.
You can see many tamilians get settled only in Chennai, they won’t even come forward to explore the other parts of India.Leave the difficulties Tamilians are facing when they are in other states.Think about the people who are coming from other states and have to settle down in Tamilnadu. Each and everyday they will face worst scenarios without knowing the language. They know the national language, but still they will be struggling when they have to settle down in Tamilnadu.
Can we change such scenarios???Yes,i think we can do it.Atleast from the next generation.I have decided to make my children learn Hindi for sure. How about you???

Women-empowering the world
There is no doubt that we have seen a great revolution in the history of women. The evidence is everywhere, the voice of women is in politics, education, media, art and culture, service sectors, science and technology.First of all I would like to give 3 cheers to the men who are supporting women in their progress.
Hip Hip Hooray!
Hip Hip Hooray!!
Hip Hip Hooray!!!
I got to this topic as we are near to the International Women’s day.How this women’s day came up??A women named Clara Zetkin, tabled the idea of an International Women’s day.She proposed that every year in every country there should be a celebration on the same day - a Women's Day - to press for their demands. The first International Women’s day was launched on March19th,the meetings were organized everywhere even in small towns. The halls were full packed with women, men stayed at home with their children for a change. It started in this way….
In the past several decades, women’s position has been greatly improved. In the early days women were seen as wives who were intended to do household works. They were not given rights on anythings. If you take my family as an example,my grandmother is not a graduate. My mom is a graduate, but have not worked and got married to my dad after her college life.I have completed my engineering and working,I have the choice to chose my life and have rights to give my opinions. From this itself we can say women’s position in the family has been changed from that of one hundred years ago.
There can’t be these many changes in women’s era without the support of men.I can say men and women are two sides of a coin, both play a major role in the society to bring up many new ideas. We will achieve many things together.letz put our hands together to go on many innovative paths.
Happy Women’s day!!!
